Step 5 - Educate Yourself
effort somewhere in the past to better themselves at what they’re
passionate about through some form of education.  You don’t just pick up a
guitar (in theory and in practice).  But the learning part will not be as painful
as you think.  Remember you’ll be learning about something you already
love.  Something you are passionate about and want to know more of
anyway.  And the beauty of it is, the more time you spend learning and
crafting your skill, the better you’ll become and the more confidence you’ll
have.  Confidence in turn attracts business.  That’s why Donald Trump is
so successful in real estate.  He is confident in his knowledge and his own
abilities to make the deal.  So too is Tiger Woods on the golf course.  His
confidence is intimidating to his opponents.  Why is he so confident?
Because he is continuously trying to improve his game.  He is putting in the
hours, while the others are resting.  Every single component of his swing
gets studied.  In the old days, you didn’t necessarily needed to be all that fit
and athletic to compete (still had to have the talent though).  But Tiger
started exercising golf specific.  His diet is planned so that it would keep
him focused and sharp.  He’s tweaking constantly.  Soon his opponents
realized that if any of them wanted to even remotely stand a chance to
compete, they would also have to alter their ways.  This gives Tiger the
edge, the confidence, and that’s why he is without a doubt the best player
out there.

It doesn’t matter what you are passionate about, there is money to be made
everywhere.  I can assure you even the best clowns in the world are
making plenty.  The key is to strive to become that good.  Not all of us will
become the next Tiger, Donald or Bono.  And frankly not many people
would want to be that rich or famous, but the point is that you absolutely
have to educate yourself if you want to be successful.

So now that we get the importance of continuously educating ourselves,
how do we do that?  By asking the right questions (theoretical) and through
gaining experience (practical).  Let’s first look at the theoretical part.  You’
re going to have to read as much as you can about whatever it is your
passionate about.  If there is material available on TV or DVD, then watch
it.  Also use the Internet to find information.  As you read, start writing
down questions.  Don’t worry about not knowing the answers
