| Step 1 - Dream Big |

| Let’s for a moment forget about today and its worries. Focus on tomorrow and have fun. Now remember there is no right or wrong here. Everybody’s dream will be different. To some people, having a home in the much more desirable than driving a Ferrari and hanging out in nightclubs. This is why life is so beautiful. You can make of it what you want. How much or how little time, effort and money you want to spend on the various parts of your life is totally up to you. It doesn’t matter whether you think any of it is possible. Remember we’re just dreaming now. Building air castles. It costs nothing. Free your mind from any restrictions. Forget all the obstacles. Again, don’t sell yourself short. Dream big and fill in the details. What does your dream house look like? Do you have more than one? Where are they? How about your cars, can you see them? Any other luxury items you want to have? How about vacations, can you list all the places you want to visit? Can you visualize yourself in a financial position to send your kids to university without worrying about funding? Can you see yourself giving your time and resources to someone less fortunate? Helping someone else in need, without feeling the urge to cling to what you have? Make a list of the things we just discussed. Put your dreams on paper. You’re not going to show it to anybody so don’t be afraid to let it out. So let’s dig in and start dreaming. Really, really focus on each statement and then, Dream Big. Stop reading and complete Worksheet 1. When you’re done, continue reading below. Did you learn anything new about yourself? I bet it was easy to come up with a list of things you still want to do, have, and achieve. How did this exercise affect your mood? Wasn’t it nice to visualize your future? Reality is, whatever your dream is, it’s possible. It does not have to stay a dream. Just like so many everyday people turned their dreams into reality, so can you. The biggest obstacle will be you. As soon as you learn how to roll yourself out of the way, your possibilities will be endless. Oh, I can just hear all the moaning and the endless excuses that’s about to crush those beautiful dream castles you’ve just built. For some reason we all seem to have an endless supply of dream crushing negativity. We will find a way to sabotage every effort to live the dream. If you are serious about making lasting changes in your life, I want to challenge you. I want you to make yourself a promise to at least keep an open mind. To open yourself up to the possibility that things might work out. Don’t dismiss yourself. Don’t short yourself. What should you do to make sure you would not fall prey to self-sabotage? You can start by shaping your attitude. |
